After what seems like about 5 months of solid winter, here’s a warmer shot from Soho yesterday. Don’t think the red was a complete coincidence but I was glad to see a group of vibrant non-chromaphobics gathering on the street.
A couple of days of snowmelt and the watery sun pushing briefly through the trees.
Wind on the water produces ripples in the reflected trees. It’s tempting to think its springtime but alas it is not.
(Ice, slush, freezing puddles with a deceptive layer of ice on top, steam, fog, people, firetruck, firemen, guy staring malevolently at the photographer).
This is for anyone not in new York for the past month or for those who have had the luxury of not having to go out for the past month. Just a little street scene on the way home from work.
Crossing the ice field. Black icebergs in a blue sky.
St Marks snowstorm in black and white. I like the texture created by the moving snowflakes. It brought the word “haywire” to mind and that could describe the way weather seems to be going lately.
